What Coform is

Coform is a shared room where you and the people you invite describe an app in plain words, and an AI builds it live in front of everyone. Every build is saved as a version you can step back to.

You need an account to create a room. Joining one is different: anyone with a room's invite link walks straight in, no account needed.

It is a tool for building software and is not aimed at children. We do not ask your age; what we do if we learn a child's information is here is on the privacy page.

Rooms are shared on purpose

An invite link carries a role, and the three do different things. A viewer link lets somebody watch. A commenter link lets them watch and leave notes, and needs no account. An editor link lets them write prompts, stop a build, and step the app back to an earlier version; that one needs an account, and somebody opening it while signed out gets commenter until they sign in. The Invite button makes an editor link. Any of them includes anyone it gets forwarded to. Builds are paid for out of the room owner's balance, so sharing a link is handing out both a key and your wallet — only send it to people you are happy to hand that to. Only the owner can publish the app or delete the room.

Builds, credits, plans, and payment

A build is one thing you ask for, however big — a whole first draft or a single word — and it costs one credit. A free account starts with 30 free builds and is topped up to 10 credits each month; it can keep up to 2 rooms at a time, and each room remembers its last 5 versions.

There are two paid plans. Pro costs $20 a month and adds 100 credits each month; Max costs $99 a month and adds 300. Both renew automatically until you cancel, unused credits carry over, and both lift the limits on screens, rooms and version history. Max serves more screens, across more than one venue. Payments are handled by Stripe; your card details go to them and never pass through us.

If a build fails or you stop it partway, the credit goes back on the balance. If you cancel, the charges stop, and both the credits you have already been given and everything you have made stay yours.

Payments are not refundable. A month you have paid for is yours to use, and we do not refund it in cash or in credit if you stop part-way through it. Moving up a plan charges the difference for the rest of the month straight away. Moving down, or cancelling, takes effect at your next renewal and does not return anything already paid. Nothing here limits any right you have under the consumer law where you live.

What you make is yours — and your responsibility

You own the apps built in your rooms. We do not claim any rights over them, and we will not use what you build to sell anything to anyone else. We store it so the product works, and that is all.

The code itself is written by a machine and comes as-is. It can be wrong, insecure, or half-finished, and it is on you to check it before you rely on it or put it in front of other people. What you do with it is your responsibility, not ours.

What not to build

Do not use Coform to make anything illegal, anything designed to deceive people about who they are dealing with, or anything meant to attack or overload other systems — including Coform itself and the sandboxes your apps run in. Do not use it to mine cryptocurrency — the sandbox blocks the obvious attempts, and we will close accounts that keep trying.

Published apps are yours and are served from a separate domain, but they are still on our infrastructure. We can take one down if it breaks these rules.

Apps that collect things, and apps that charge

An app you publish can ask the public for their details. Forms are part of what the AI builds, and what people fill in comes back into your room, where everyone who can build there can read it and where you can download it or empty it. Those are strangers' names, addresses and phone numbers, typed into your page.

An app can also take money, through a Stripe account you connect yourself. The charge is on your account and the money arrives with you. We never hold it, and we have no way to refund it — that sits with your Stripe account rather than with us.

Both of these put you in front of people who have no account here and have agreed to nothing. For what your app collects, you are the one answerable to them. It is your page, your business and your enquiry; we store what comes in and act on your instructions. That means the lawful basis for collecting it, and anything you go on to do with it, is yours to get right.

What we do is give them something rather than nothing. Every form the AI builds carries a line pointing at a short notice that says where what they typed went, how long it stays, and how to get it back — and every confirmation an app emails carries a link that deletes what that person sent. You cannot write those yourself, because we build the form and serve the page, so we build them. They do not make us answerable for your app, and they are not a substitute for whatever notice your own obligations call for.

What we promise, and what we do not

Coform is early software that writes software. It will sometimes build the wrong thing, and it will sometimes be unavailable. Every build is archived so you can step back, but keep your own copy of anything you would be upset to lose.

We provide the service as it is, without guarantees that it will fit a particular purpose or never lose data.

Ending things

You can delete a room, or stop using Coform, at any time. Deleting a room removes its versions and takes down its published site. We may close an account that breaks these rules.

These terms can change

As Coform changes, these terms will too. The date at the top always says when they last did, and using Coform after a change means accepting the new version.
